As we consider how Island Drift might be presented we hear about Balloch Castle on the southern shore of the loch.

Built in 1808 and designed by the architect Robert Lugar for John Buchanan of Ardoch, from the outside it looks your typical Scottish baronial castle, however once inside you realise it is a mad cluster of internal spaces built on top and inside of each other. Now empty, it is a veritable warren that gives multiple possibilities for staging a final photographic work in 2014.
