Experimenting with how we can further animate the night view we commandeer the generous help of the Luss Rescue boat, who with an onboard variety of lights describe patterns across the loch surface. Additionally with high powered floodlights they sail close inshore to the near islands illuminating the waterside woods.

 

It becomes painfully clear with the size of the loch and our distance from it, that it will be difficult for this style of lighting to have a meaningful impact when viewed through the camera lens.

 

The diagram above shows the sailed route for the rescue boat.
