The Island Drift exhibition opens at Street Level Photoworks in Glasgow on Saturday 14 November.

The immersive photographic installation was created in partnership with Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park during an eight month programme of creative interventions at Loch Lomond. Designer James Johnson, photographer Alan McAteer and NVA’s creative director Angus Farquhar worked with park rangers to manipulate moving and static light sources on land and water, creating a powerful series of images articulating the Highland boundary fault line.

This gallery-based exhibition is a significant departure for NVA. For the first time performing in and with the landscape is not the main intention. Instead the manipulation of light and movement in real time, over large physical spaces, existed purely to release the untouched photographic artwork.
