NVA are proud to announce the appointment of a dynamic design team to take forward the ambitious plans for Kilmahew/St Peter’s. Avanti Architects, ERZ Landscape Architects and NORD Architecture all have experience and expertise in the innovative reclamation of abandoned buildings and landscapes.

Unlike many standard redevelopments, the plans for Kilmahew/St Peter’s take the current derelict state of the buildings and 144 acre grounds as inspiration. Combining consolidation of the ruin and partial restoration with new design, there will be no attempt to freeze time or turn back the clock. Opening in 2017, 50 years after the foundation stone was first laid, the new designs will provide a flexible 600 capacity arts venue, a permanent exhibition, a ‘field station’ offering indoor and outdoor informal teaching spaces, accessible woodland paths and a productive garden within the former Victorian designed landscape.
